Fairbanks Alaska

Highly recommended! Located at the eastern gateway to Denali National Park & Preserve, Fairbanks, while a bit cold and dark in the winter, this town is a fantastic summer season destination to visit. If you're a bit adventurous, try a winter visit for a possible glimpse of the aurora borealis, or the wonderful ice sculptures!

Arctic Cam     -  Located downtown and provided by the Daily News-Miner, this camera updates fresh everytime you load the page.

The Aurora Page     -  Photos of the aurora by Jan Curtis.

BLM Live Web Cam of Fairbanks     -  Live image of the Fairbanks area taken at the office of the Bureau of Land Management.

Delicam - Web Cam at teh Dash Deli & Coffee House     -  "This is what it is really like outside in Fairbanks! The Delicam shows random scenes from around and about Fairbanks. 'Garçon! I'll have the table by the window, please!'"

Denali National Park & Preserve     -  "It's more than a mountain. Denali National Park & Preserve features North America's highest mountain, 20,320-foot tall Mount McKinley. The Alaska Range also includes countless other spectacular mountains and many large glaciers. Denali's more than 6 million acres also encompass a complete sub-arctic eco-system with large mammals such as grizzly bears, wolves, Dall sheep, and moose. The park was established as Mt. McKinley National Park on Feb. 26, 1917. The original park was designated a wilderness area and incorporated into Denali National Park and Preserve in 1980. The Park was designated an international biosphere reserve in 1976."

Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce     -  The chamber offers a lot of information about local business, events and relocation information.

Fairbanks Photo Album     -  "No fancy stores, no pretty sidewalks. Fairbanks is not a scenic town. The 'capital of cracked wind shields' is wild and surrounded by subarctic bush on all sides. Ice fog in winter and mosquitoes in summer. It's the heart of Alaska's great interior and the gateway to the 'last frontier'. No city in the North is closer to the edge than Fairbanks." See the area from your computer.

Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge     -  Highly recommended if you are here to make memories. One of the nicest retreats on Earth. "After a day in the Golden Heart city, return to this quiet retreat on the banks of the Chena River. Rejuvenate yourself with a brisk workout in the health club, followed by a refreshing steam bath. Then enjoy a relaxing meal at one of our dining venues. With beautifully landscaped grounds and a terraced deck extending to the water's edge, the Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge takes every advantage of its Chena River setting."

University of Alaska     -  UA located in Fairbanks. Go here to learn more about the university.
